Our Thanksgiving Break

Our family vacation to Salt Lake was a trip to remember! We hit the road on Monday afternoon and then spent the night at Fairmont Hot Springs. (sorry... didn't take pics). Then woke up on Tuesday to a blizzard and drove only to Dillon where we were stopped for the night because the pass was closed. YIKES!

So what is there to do in Dillon, Montana!! Well... we visited the Dillon Museum and saw a mounted two headed calf, hung out at McDonalds, checked into our hotel that luckily had a swimming pool. (good thing we had those swim suits!)

Thanksgiving feast at Julia's. Grace would not take her hat off. If I did, she would find it and put it on again. finally I just gave up the battle and let her wear the hat.

On Friday we went to Trafalga playland where Emma won the jackpot and got 250 tickets!
Saturday we went to Temple Square and then rode the train around town. Gavin and Grace thought this was the coolest thing ever!
How did we keep Giles content for a three day drive one way and a 13 hour drive home? Playing peekaboo, suckers and lots if licorice!! Below are movies of cute Grace at Temple Square. I was just trying to take a picture and she would either break out in song or dance instead. She just cracks me up!

The dance moves are my favorite!! Dillion is probubly better than Deer Lodge to be stuck in. Been there done that! Glad you made it to SLC!

Yes it was quite the weekend for all of us; but great memories were created. Being with family and sharing those times is what matters most. Love that entertaining Grace.
