Tag, you're it!

Since I am new to the blogging scene, this is the first time that I have been tagged. I need to say seven things about myself and then tag seven people. Since I am not sure if I even have seven people that read this blog, I'll probably only tag a few of my avid readers. I'll make a comment on your blog to tell you that you have been tagged so WATCH OUT!

1) My favorite color is pink. I love it. I recently bought a pair of hot pink crocs. I am super glad that I had a baby girl. The colors of paint on her walls are delicious (pale pink) and hot pink.
2) I love playing games. Any games from Candy Land to cards.
3) My favorite food is ice cream. It is so yummy. My first job was working at Dairy Queen and I would freeze the blizzards that I messed up and would take them home. Well, I did that until I got busted by my boss. It was just too hard for me to see good ice cream get thrown in the garbage.
4) I hate dogs. The creep me out and totally scare me. I know this seems crazy since I always had a dog growing up. Sorry Brent, I don't think there is a dog in our future.
5) I am obessed with time. I always wear a watch and I even have this tiny alarm clock that goes with me wherever I travel.
6) Napping is so fun. It is great to be able to take a nap in the middle of the day and relax for a while. It is harder now with two kids to get them to nap at the same time!
7) I have read every Nicholas Sparks book. He writes about love and tragedy in the same story so well. I am loving and crying all wrapped up in one great book.

Our Sunny Weekend

Brent got some good pics this weekend. Both kids are actually looking at the camera, WOW! And Gavin isn't doing some crazy smile, double WOW! If you enlarge the picture, Grace has bubbles on her mouth, that is her new favorite passtime. She's our little bubble maker.
We decided to take the family to the lake on Saturday and let Gavin ride in the kayak that Brent just bought. He BARELY fit in the seat with him, but he still had a great time. Grace, who is usually never super cranky, wouldn't stop crying and our trip to the lake was cut short and our picnic dinner was eaten in the car on the way home.
We spent some quality time outside this weekend. with the weather being good for the first time this spring we needed to soak up some sun. Good thing we did because this week is nothing but rain is coming our way.

Gavin and his "pal" Grandpa sent up the trampoline last week and this was the first use! Gavin had a blast jumping and rolling on the tramp.

Gavin's new bike

We bought Gavin a new bike at Costco. You just can't beat their prices sometimes! Gavin loves his new bike. Right after I took the picture Gavin fell off the bike and said, "I'm not a good biker!" We rode bikes for 45 minutes today and he fell off the bike four times and scraped his hands twice. But Gavin was a trooper and just kept getting back on the bike. Our precious Grace was being nasty and refused to be in the stroller. Thank goodness for the baby bjorn! I strapped her in that thing and she was a happy camper. We went all around the neighborhood. It was nice to finally be outside in the sunshine since we have been having such crummy weather the last couple of weeks. Enjoy the video. Notice Gavin rides looking down. He focuses on pedaling and doesn't watch where he is going. He just assumes that nothing will get in his way of his bike!

The only dog we'll ever own (or at least that's my hope)

Karolyn gave me a photo album with this puppy when Gavin was born. I took a picture with him and the puppy every month for the first year. It is a fun way to see how he is growing. I enjoyed doing the project so much that I have continued the tradition with Grace.
Grace has the biggest smile. You can't really tell in the picture, but she has a dimple on her right cheek. She is just adorable. We love her so much.
Gavin insisted that the broom was in the pictures. Of course, none of the pictures turned out cute after I took the broom away. So there you have it, the kids posing with the broom.
Gavin wanted to have a turn holding the puppy too.

Gavin and Jade

Cousin Jade and Justin came to spent the night this weekend. Gavin LOVES and ADORES Jade. He thinks she is the best thing ever. They played well together, which is great considering Jade is 3 years old than Gavin. They loved to play dress up. Gavin was his usual Pirate (who needed to have a horse) and Jade was a princess. That was a bit of a shocker since she usually likes to be Pirate too! It is so fun when family comes to town!

A family who Wii's together...

Just enjoying a Sunday evening playing the Wii. We needed to work off the yummy dinner that Mom made. It rocks having Sunday dinner up at Mom's!

Brent is showing Gavin the fine art of Wii bowling.

Mobius Kids Museum

We went downtown yesterday to the Mobius kids museum. It is such a fun place to go with the kids. They have a dress up stage, crafts, a store and a play house, just so many fun things that the kids can do.

Even Grace had a great time. She is smiling so much more now, it is so fun! She is playing with her friend Max (I'm pretty sure this is Max, although it could be his twin Henry... Sorry Marianne I can't remember which one wore blue yesterday)
