Aloha!!

Happy 10 years to us!! Our anniversary was in August but we didn't want to leave Spokane during the best month so we postponed our anniversary trip until October. Brent has never been to Hawaii (I have only been once when I was 14 years old and had a broken collar bone). It was a great trip!

Here are some highlights from the trip. Actually just highlights from the last half of the trip. Our shock-proof, sand-proof, water-proof camera broke while we were there. Thank heavens we bought it at Costco!
Hanging out on the beach was the main goal for the week. Brent snorkeled like 6 times a day and I enjoyed a good read while sitting in the shade (that's how I roll!!)

Me in front of the huge Banyan tree. They were just fascinating. The limbs can grow down and then they grow into the ground and become a root. It is turns into several trees combined into one.


At our first Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Pretty fun place, we had a great time!
Me at the USS Arizona Memorial. It was a very peaceful and reverent experience. In the background is the USS Missouri that you can also tour.
Brent at Pearl Harbor. We spent a couple of extra days in Honolulu to basically go to Pearl Harbor, see the Laie temple and to the Polynesian Cultural center. We totally crushed them all!
Honolulu was fun and really packed!! People everywhere. We stayed 6 nights in Maui and 2 nights in Honolulu. When (hopefully...) we go back it will definitely be to Maui. It is much more relaxed and not a little more our style. Great 10 years... many more to come!
