Our Super Scientist Gavin wanted to be in the science fair at school. We looked through some science books for kids and he came up with his idea to make homemade spinners and test them out. The easiest part was the experiment, the hard part was putting together the poster board!

Gavin won 2nd place for the first grade. He came home and told me he won a "red ribbon." I said, "oh, cool..." I didn't realized that he had won 2nd place!! Gavin is a good student and science is his favorite subject. Great job Gavin!! Please note that Gavin typed out all the words on the computer and punched the letters into my Cricut...

Gavin making his homemade spinner from cardboard and a toothpick. We also made one out of a plastic sour cream lid, a bottle cap, and a paper cup. Then we did a test to see which one spun the longest.
