Grace's new 'do

Miss Grace (as he is known in our house) needed a fresh look. She has never had an "official" haircut by a real stylist. So, DaNae referred me to a gal in her ward and she actually came over to the house to give Grace her new hairdo!



Grace was a champ! She got a little scared when Paige put the cape on her but I told Grace it made her look like Belle and she was like "okay." She also said she wanted to hair to look like Tinkerbell. I said sure she will totally look like Tinkerbell.. I'll say whatever is takes for her to hold still while someone has a pair of scissors up to her head.
Grace is holding still really well... she seemed a bit scared about the whole situation.

This is the before hairdo. There were layers everywhere and it just needed to get cleaned up. I am so grateful for the hair stylist who makes house calls! That is seriously the only way to cut a 2 year-old's hair. That and bribery of fruit snacks (or how Grace pronounces it "froo nacks")

Giles' Blessing Day

Last Sunday we had the opportunity to bless Giles. Brent's parents flew in for the special occasion. Giles was grumpy for the pictures but he was an angel during the blessing and all throughout church.

Grandpa Mac and the kids. We had a great time with him over the weekend. It was a fun treat to have Brent's parents here.
Grandma Mac made Gavin this awesome hat. Gavin was even able to go to the store and pick out his own colored yarn. I guess he couldn't decided which color to choose because he ended up choosing a rainbow yarn. We are lucky to have Grandma Mac stay will us for a whole 10 days!!

Tubing with the cousins

Brent took Gavin and his two cousins, Parker and Dylan up to Silver Mountain to go tubing on President's day. The boys had a blast tubing, playing in the snow, riding the gondola and just being crazy boys!Dylan and Gavin at the bottom of the tube run.

1st Photoshoot

Giles had his 1st photoshoot with Aunt DaNae today!

He took it like a champ

Grace is loving being a big sis and is good about making sure we know when the baby cries.Gavin is loving his little bro too, but most of his time is spent with these lovely gals

A Barney Birthday!

Grace turned 2 today! Although if you ask her how old she is she will tell you that she is three.  I decided to throw her a Barney party. She LOVES Barney! Here are some highlights from her special day.

Look at all those presents! I was able to go to White Elephant and buy her some Barney toys. That store is the only one random enough to still be selling toys circa 1993! She was very excited about this Barney piano. The box is old and faded, but what can you expect from a toy that is 17 years old?? The employee at White Elephant said that he wouldn't sell me such an old toy at full price so he sold the piano to me for $7.00!
Gavin and Derek were Grace's "helpers" at opening the presents.
I made the cake and Ben decorated the cake. Since Ella had a Barney birthday last year, he already had experience decorating a Barney cake. Thanks Ben!!!
Grace was all smiles at her party! We sang Barney songs, played Bingo and had some awesome cake. What more could a girl ask for?
Grace in her Christmas dress. She totally loved it. When I showed her how she looked in the mirror, she couldn't stop smiling. Yeah Grace, you know you are a total BABE! Love you!!

Grace and Rosabelle's weekend together

Grace and I had a great weekend visting Danielle, Danny, and Rosabelle. Here are a few highlights from the new cousin BFF's!

Going to the park and swinging and playing together. Check out the awesome hairbows that Danielle and I made over the weekend.
