Poor little Giles. He had an allergic reaction to eggs this last week. His face turned bright red and his eyes swelled up, and then he developed a rash on his body. I took him to the ER where we spent the next 7 hours being closely monitored!
This is the "better" picture. This was taken after a dose of Benedryl and some steroids. Brent actually took the picture. I was a little too frantic to take pictures at the beginning of our little drama.
I felt so bad for Giles. He was miserable, but such a trooper. He is all better now. But since this happened we had him tested and he is allergic to eggs. Dang it!! The good new is that he can outgrow the allergy by the age of 3-4. Hopefully that is the case with Giles. Now now I am a label reading, food monitoring, Epi-pen carrying Mama. Strange how your life can change so quickly...

Yet, one more stress to carry as a mama. Glad he is okay !
So Glad to see he is ok....It is always scarry when little kids get sick like that....you feel so helpless....Take care of that cute boy! Happy Hallloween!
WOW! Thankful for a happy ending, that is quite a reaction. No eggs sounds tricky, good thing you're Super Mom! ;)
